Opened in August, this sprawling indoor/outdoor dog park and bar is the talk of the town. Located in the middle of South End, Skiptown has been described as “a country club-style retreat for dogs and a casual hangout for humans.” They offer daycare, boarding, dog park, and a bar with beer, cocktails, and a dog-friendly bone broth “beer” on tap. The Dog Bar
Located in the NoDa Arts District, the Dog Bar welcomes dogs of all shapes and sizes as long as they are up to date on their vaccinations, spayed/neutered, and well-behaved. See more information here.
U.S. National Whitewater Center
Take your leashed pet on one of the many trails surrounding the Whitewater center or hang out as the rafters go by. The facility is dog-friendly. Remember to bring plenty of water and clean up after your pets. Learn more about the USNWC here.
Lucky Dog Bark & Brew
Lucky Dog Bark & Brew now has 3 locations in the Charlotte area and is known as the areas only indoor/outdoor dog park with a sports bar “where both you and your dog can play.”
Many local breweries are dog-friendly as well. Leashed pets are welcome in the outdoor spaces of Sycamore Brewing, NoDa Brewing Company, The Olde Mecklenburg Brewery, Birdsong Brewing Co, and Triple C Brewing Co. Be sure to visit the website of your other favorites to see if they are dog-friendly.
