Mark received his real estate license and REALTOR® membership in 2005. After a twenty-year career in banking, he decided to follow his passion into full-time residential real estate at Dickens Mitchener.
He works with both buyer and seller clients to achieve the best results while minimizing stress. Putting his clients first and always doing business with honesty and integrity are hallmarks of his approach.
Prior to leaving the bank, he was a Senior Vice President advising business owners, executives, and private equity firms on multi-million dollar and billion dollar merger and acquisition financing. Mark brings the same level of professionalism and expertise to his clients as they buy and sell one of their most important assets.
A self-described “real estate junkie”, Mark loves to keep the pulse of the market while understanding emerging trends and utilizing the best technology on behalf of his clients. He is a big believer in continuing education, doing his homework, and using data to drive better decisions.
Mark received an MBA with Academic Distinction from Wake Forest University and a Bachelor of Science with Honors in Business Administration, magna cum laude, from Presbyterian College.
Mark has lived in Myers Park for the past 14 years with his wife and they have two young daughters.
In his free time, Mark enjoys fly fishing, travel, listening to live music, and wine tasting with friends.
In 2008, Mark was selected from the live television audience to play the “Current Events” game with David Letterman and won a steakhouse dinner. The special guest that night was Steve Martin and his wife likes to say Mark got the bigger laugh out of Dave!
In 2011, the Emmy award-winning show Homeland starring Claire Danes and Damian Lewis filmed in Charlotte. Mark was able to play a background role on the front steps of a Queens Road West home in episode eight.
Mark’s mom was an interior designer and he grew up around the trade --going to Highpoint, NC and Atlanta, GA for market. He married Liz whose hobby is interior architectural and landscape design. They enjoy antiquing and traveled to France in 2012 to chase the antique fairs from Beziers to Montpellier to Avignon in Provence.
